VT 20K Girder

A cost-effective and reliable construction girder for daily use with protective end caps


With an overall height of 20cm, the VT 20K is optimised for use in slab formwork operations, especially for thin slabs with short spans.

The solid web girder is extremely economical to use for standard and special solutions – ranging from simple beams through to bridge or tunnel formwork projects. The girder is available in 11 lengths from 1.45m to 5.90m with robust steel caps fitted at the end of the chords to prolong usable life. These steel caps along with the concave strut end provide the girder with reliable protection against damage.

  • Steel caps on the ends of the chords provide reliable protection against damage. Securing of the steel cap has been intentionally done in the unstressed area of the web.
    High Quality & Robust

    The chords are made of softwood and highly compressed web board and a high proportion of synthetic resin. Steel caps on the chord ends and concave web ends for robustness. 

  • The VT 20K as secondary and main beam in residential construction.
    Versatile & Low-Swelling

    The 4 x 8cm thick chords provide sufficient width for nailing plywood joints.  The high proportion of glue produces a low-swelling behaviour in humid/moist environments and a web plate ensures no dry cracks or torsion of the girder.
