Assistant Engineering Manager

Objectives

• Lead a fully established Engineering Team and manage their daily work tasks, ensuring Sales Team are receiving their tasks on time and with the most cost-effective and optimized formwork/falsework design layouts possible

 

Your Responsibilities

• Manage the Engineering Team's workload through the online engineering hub and prioritize the flow according to the Sales Team's requirements and priorities
• To report to the Head of Engineering on overall workload progress and coordination
• Lead the weekly Design Priority meetings between Engineering Team Leaders and Sales Team Members
• Manage a training schedule for the Engineering Team, ensuring that they are getting the best and most accurate training needed
• Check drawings and run through practical and cost effective solutions, ensuring that what we present is the most feasible and safest solution
• Check and run through design calculations using the PERI provided design tools
• Coordinate with Design Engineers to provide consultancy of technical solutions to the sales team and clients
• To work with Head of Engineering in order to ensure that all design solutions are safe, technically accurate and cost effective
• Monitor and evaluate Design Engineers to performing static analysis, checking to ensure optimal design
• Interaction with the sales department to provide the most effective design for the customer
• Interaction with operation team to make sure the inventory level is sufficient for supply
• Responsible for managing and maintaining the online PERI Engineering Hub platform. Including new features for improvement and updates

 

Your profile

• BS Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years engineering experience, specifically related to formwork/ scaffolding systems, in addition to managing experiences
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS office, MS Power Apps and MS Power Automate
• RSTAB is an advantage
• Self-motivated, able to work independently
• Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
• Strong coordination, planning and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in English and Mandarin/Cantonese
